Planas Doria Route and Exhibition

Francesc d'Assís Planas Doria, born in Sabadell in 1879, was a painter who frequented Guilleria in the 1930s and 1950s. In this exhibition we want to pay tribute to him and remember his contribution to the artistic heritage of this land. We collect the information, the work and the feeling of an exhibition that was held in 1947 in the Plenary area of ​​Sant Hilari Town Hall. It consists of 16 original works, which portray both the urban and rural landscape of the Guillé area. Images from the past that remind us how the appearance of our streets, squares, gardens has changed... We will also be able to enjoy the artist's personal materials from both his family life and his social life, and also a collection of works of folk art, both wood carving and turnery, which were the "souvenirs" that visitors took away as souvenirs.

The Ruta Planas Doria, is a way to get to know the historic center of Sant Hilari with the help of a specialized guide who will show you the corners that the painter portrayed while we will have the opportunity to see how the face of the population over the years and other values ​​such as architectural, landscape, commercial and neighborhood.
